What data we collect

This site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect anonymised usage statistics. GA4 may record:

  • Pages visited and time spent on them
  • Session duration and the number of pages per session
  • Device type, operating system, and browser
  • Country-level location (city or precise location is not collected)
  • The referring website that brought you here

No names, email addresses, or other personally identifying information are collected or stored by this site.

Why we collect it

Analytics data helps understand how the site is being used — which chapters are most read, whether the site works well on mobile, and where visitors come from — so the site can be improved over time.

Data retention

Google Analytics retains event data for 14 months by default, after which it is automatically deleted. No analytics data is stored on servers run by this site.

Third-party data processor

Your choices

Analytics cookies are entirely optional. You have three ways to control them:

  1. Decline at the prompt — when you first visit the site, a banner appears at the bottom of the screen. Clicking Decline means Google Analytics will not be loaded, now or on future visits.
  2. Withdraw consent at any time — use the Cookie settings link in the site footer to clear your previous choice. The banner will reappear so you can make a new selection.
  3. Browser-level blocking — browser extensions such as uBlock Origin or "I don't care about cookies" will automatically block the consent banner and prevent analytics from loading.
